Description
Penang-Born Singaporean author, Joan Hon, will be in Penang to talk about her fiction and non-fiction books on 12 October, 2.30pm at 56, Lorong Selamat.
She wrote a sci-fi romance "Star Sapphire" which won a High Commendation Award from the Book Development Council of Singapore in 1986, the same year she was awarded a Commendation prize for her book "Relatively Speaking" on her father (Penangnite - Mr Hon Sui Sen, Singapore's Finance Minister), her family, the Japanese Invasion and childhood memories in Penang.
Sharing her experiences and her journey as an author from writing to publishing. A multi-talented lady, besides writing books, Ms Hon also taught Physics to Junior College students and mentored Olympiad students in one of Singapore's top Junior Colleges.
They are offering a 10% discount for all books autographed by Joan on that day itself.
